The book addresse gender-based prejudices and violence at universities student during orientation week. Later another female student involved in a turbulent relationship gets muddered. Alhough embrioled in her own youthful emotional turmoil, Moja becomes a fighter agianst the patriachy that AHD reigned for generations. Her rise to the presidency of the SRC gives her the power to build a pedestal of hope for young women to stand on. She did this by dismantling the fallacy upon which the idea of male dominance had always rested.
