These include traditional leaders, politicians and councillors. Prof. Mphahlele is a retired African Languages lecturer and a veteran in Sepedi literature. Some of his literary works have won awards and he was a finalist in the Maskew Miller Longman Literature Awards 2007 for his novel titled Dilo Tsela ke Batho.
