The Alphabetic Code Chart shows the difference between the ‘alphabet’ (the letters) and the ‘alphabetic code’ (the alternative spellings for all the phonemes). This pack contains 3 copies of the A1 size chart for display in the classroom to help children to remember how to ‘crack the code’ and reinforce incidental phonics teaching. At the heart of the Floppy's Phonics teaching programme is the Alphabetic Code Chart, which systematically teaches the 44+ phonemes and the many letter/s-sound correspondences of a 'simple' then 'complex' (extended) alphabetic code.
