This graded reader is the first book in the eight level. It enriches reading, develops an interest in books and reading and helps learners to develop their vocabulary and reading in Grade R. This reading series is graded from easy-to-read language (Level 1-4) to more difficult reading (Level 5-8). The series comprises forty readers - one reader per teaching week - in which learners are introduced to phonics, initial sounds and sight words. Each reader in the series contains a lesson plan. This reader comprises more words of which the learner should be able to “read” (incidental reading), is a story about the characteristics of spring - and is used for Reading Aloud. This reading series is used with the New All-In-One Grade R Home Language Learner’s Book, Workbook, Phonics Book and Teacher’s Guide for optimal learning. It can also be used with another teaching programme.
