In this title, the agricultural student is introduced to the nature and extent of Farming Management.  It places agriculture in context to the South African economy and the international market.  Effective management on the farm can only be executed once the farm manager applies managerial principles on the farm.  Hence, a thorough knowledge and understanding of both the macro and micro agricultural environment is required.  The agricultural student is also stimulated to understand and apply agricultural marketing.
