Anant Singh spent sixteen years working on the film Long Walk to Freedom and immersed himself in the learning of every aspect of Madiba’s long life. Through extensive research, books and interviews he and his team would find a wealth of information. Inevitably, in the making of the film characters had to be compressed, events left out and ways invented that could tell a story and sustain interest.
