A group of older men in a rural area meet one cold night and talk about the problems of deciding on the right qualities for representatives to bring transformation to the area – in local government, for example. The need for women to have a role in choosing  representatives is also recognised by the group, although a little grudgingly by some. The discussion is extended to a traditional PITSO, where the headman has strong views about the qualities needed for local leaders but also about the role of those who have chosen the leaders. You have to support your leader, he tells the PITSO. No-one is so strong that he can do everything alone, nor does anyone know everything about everything. You have a part to play in bringing development home. Transformation works if you make it work.
